Settings and storefront

Set your shop name, VAT and currency once, then share a public storefront page customers can visit.

A few minutes in Settings makes every receipt, report and price correct from day one. This is where you name your shop, set your tax rate, confirm your currency, and switch on the public storefront that gives your business a page customers can find.

How it works

Settings are shop-wide: change them once and every device and every future sale follows. Prices in CEMAC POS are VAT-inclusive (TTC), so the price a customer sees is the price they pay, with the tax already inside it. The currency is XAF (Central African CFA franc), a zero-decimal currency, so amounts are whole francs with no centimes.

  • Shop details — name, contact, and address shown on receipts and the storefront.
  • VAT rate — the TVA applied inside your prices; the CEMAC default is 19.25%.
  • Currency — XAF, whole-franc amounts, no decimals.
  • Storefront — a public page for your shop that customers can open in a browser.

Configure your shop

  1. Open Settings, then Shop.
  2. Enter the shop name, contact number and address — these appear on receipts.
  3. Set the VAT rate. Keep 19.25% unless your situation differs; confirm with your accountant if unsure.
  4. Confirm the currency is XAF.
  5. Open the Storefront section, add a short description and your details, and publish the page.
  6. Share the storefront link with customers and on social media.

Changing the VAT rate affects how tax is shown on new sales from that moment. Past sales are immutable and keep the rate they were made with, so your history stays accurate.

The public storefront

The storefront is a simple public page for your shop — your name, what you sell, and how to reach you — that anyone can open in a browser without signing in. It gives even a small shop a real presence customers can share, and it stays consistent with the details you set in Settings.

Common questions

Can I change the VAT rate later?

Yes. New sales use the new rate from the moment you save it; past sales keep the rate they were made with.

Why are there no centimes?

XAF is a zero-decimal currency, so CEMAC POS works in whole francs to match how money is actually handled.

Is the storefront the same as an online store?

It is a public information page for your shop. It gives customers a presence to find and share, based on your shop details.
