DGI-ready invoicing

Invoices with the fields the tax authority expects.

A receipt keeps a customer happy; an invoice keeps the tax authority happy. CEMAC POS produces standardised invoices carrying the fields a compliant Cameroonian document needs: your business identity and taxpayer number, the customer, an itemised list, the net amount, the VAT at 19.25% shown separately, and the total to pay in CFA francs.

What appears on the document

  • Seller identity: business name, address and taxpayer number.
  • Buyer details where the customer is a registered business.
  • A dated, numbered invoice line running in an unbroken sequence.
  • Each line item with quantity, unit price and line total.
  • The VAT breakdown, so the taxable base and the tax are both visible.
  • A verifiable QR code linking the printed paper back to the record.

The QR code and what it proves

Each invoice carries a QR code that anyone can scan to check the document against the figures held in the system. Recomputing the totals from the source and matching a fingerprint means a printout that has been altered will not verify. It is a locally verifiable seal on the paper, not a receipt number issued by a government server.

Important: this is DGI-ready formatting, not a live DGI-server integration. CEMAC POS structures the invoice with the expected fields and makes it tamper-evident and QR-verifiable on your side. The real-time link to the tax authority is a separate, later phase.

Consistent numbering you can defend

Invoices are numbered in a continuous sequence with no gaps, which is exactly what an inspection looks for. Because the underlying sales are immutable and hash-chained, the invoice you reprint months later shows the same figures as the day it was issued, and the sequence cannot be quietly rearranged.

You can issue an invoice from any completed sale, so a customer who first took a simple receipt can still be given a full invoice afterwards without re-keying anything.
