Payroll and attendance

Record employees, capture clock-in and clock-out times, and turn attendance into payslips you can hand out.

Knowing exactly who was on the floor, and for how long, is the foundation of fair pay. CEMAC POS records attendance next to your sales, so the same phone that rings up customers also tracks the shift, and payslips come from real recorded hours rather than memory.

How it works

Each employee has a profile with a pay basis — an hourly rate or a fixed monthly salary. When a shift starts, the employee clocks in; when it ends, they clock out. The app stamps each event with the time and the device, and totals the hours across the pay period. At the end of the period you generate payslips from those totals.

  • Employee profile — name, role, and pay basis (hourly or monthly).
  • Attendance — clock-in and clock-out events that build a timesheet.
  • Payslip — hours and rate turned into gross pay for the period, ready to print or share.

Attendance is captured on the device even with no internet, and syncs later like everything else — a missed connection never loses a clock-in.

Set up an employee and run a pay period

  1. Open Settings, then Payroll (or Employees).
  2. Add the employee and set their pay basis: an hourly rate in XAF, or a fixed monthly salary.
  3. At the start of each shift, have them clock in from the app.
  4. At the end of the shift, have them clock out. Correct any missed entry from the timesheet.
  5. At the end of the month or pay cycle, open the timesheet, review the total hours, and generate the payslip.
  6. Print or share the payslip and record the payment.

Fixing attendance

People forget to clock out. Open the employee timesheet, find the open shift, and edit the end time. Every correction is logged so the record stays trustworthy. Keep edits honest — the timesheet is your evidence if a wage is ever disputed.

Already clocked inThe previous shift was never closed.Open the timesheet, close the old shift with the correct end time, then clock in again.
Hours look too highA forgotten clock-out ran the shift overnight.Edit the shift end time on the timesheet; the total recalculates.
Payslip shows zero payNo pay basis set, or no hours recorded in the period.Set the hourly rate or monthly salary on the profile, and confirm attendance exists for the dates.
Cannot clock inEmployee is deactivated or not signed in.Reactivate the employee and have them sign in on the device before their shift.
Times seem shiftedDevice clock or time zone is wrong.Set the device to the correct local time; new events use the corrected clock.

Common questions

Does it calculate taxes and CNPS?

The payslip totals gross pay from recorded hours and rate. Statutory deductions depend on your situation — confirm the final figures with your accountant.

Can two employees clock in on one phone?

Yes. Each signs in, clocks in and out, then signs off. For busy shops a shared shop device works for quick clock events.

What if someone works across two shops?

Attendance is recorded per shop, so each shop keeps its own timesheet and payslip for that person.
