Unified rewards network
One card — the customer's phone number — works across every shop on CEMAC POS, with points kept separately per shop.
Customers do not want a different loyalty card for every shop, and shops do not want to give away points earned somewhere else. The unified rewards network solves both: the customer's phone number is their one loyalty identity across every shop running CEMAC POS, while each shop keeps its own separate point balance.
One identity, many balances
When a customer gives their phone number at any CEMAC POS shop, the system recognises them without a physical card. But the points they earn at Shop A stay at Shop A — Shop B keeps its own balance for the same customer. Each shop funds and controls only its own rewards, so joining the network costs a shop nothing in points it did not itself give.
- Phone number is the single loyalty card
- Recognised at every CEMAC POS shop
- Points held separately per shop
- Nothing to print or carry
- Self-service balance at the /rewards portal
The /rewards portal
Customers check their balances themselves at the /rewards portal by identifying with their phone number. There they see, per shop, how many points they hold — no need to ask a cashier or keep a paper card. This transparency is what makes the points feel real and worth returning for.
Points are a loyalty reward, not money: they can be redeemed on purchases at the shop that issued them but there is no cash-out. This keeps the programme simple, compliant, and free of the financial-transfer obligations that moving real value between shops would create.
