Two receipt types
Give the customer the right proof of sale — a formal A4 invoice or a quick thermal ticket, on paper or over WhatsApp.
A grocery counter and a business supplier do not need the same paperwork, so CEMAC POS produces two receipt formats from the same sale and lets you pick per transaction.
A4 detailed invoice
The A4 invoice is a full document: shop identity, the customer, an itemised table with quantities and per-line totals, the taxable base, 19.25% VAT and the TTC grand total. It suits customers who need a formal invoice for their own books and is generated as a PDF you can print on any ordinary office printer.
58/80mm thermal ticket
The thermal ticket is the fast counter receipt, laid out narrow for the 58mm and 80mm roll printers common in Cameroonian shops. It carries the essentials — shop name, date, lines, total, VAT and payment method — with no wasted paper.
| Format | Best for | Output |
|---|---|---|
| A4 invoice | Business customers, formal records | PDF / office printer |
| 58/80mm thermal | Everyday counter sales | Roll printer |
| No printer on hand | PDF link / file |
Send it over WhatsApp
WhatsApp is how Cameroon communicates, so any receipt can be shared as a PDF to the customer instead of, or as well as, printing. This is the practical answer when the printer is out of paper, the shop has no printer at all, or the customer simply prefers a digital copy they can keep on their phone.
- Choose the format after payment, per sale
- Reprint any past receipt from the sale record
- Share to WhatsApp when there is no printer
- Totals always show the VAT-inclusive CFA amount
Because the sale itself is stored once and immutably, every receipt — printed now, reprinted next week, or sent over WhatsApp — reflects exactly the same recorded figures. The receipt is a view of the sale, never a second source of truth.
