Every product in CEMAC POS carries a live quantity for the outlet it belongs to. When a sale is completed, the stock on hand drops automatically; when you receive a delivery, it rises. Because the count is tied to the same immutable sale records used for accounting, what the shelf shows and what the books show never drift apart.
One catalogue, many ways to find an item
Each product can hold a name, a category, a VAT-inclusive (TTC) selling price in CFA francs, a cost price, and one or more barcodes. Cashiers find items three ways: by tapping a category tile, by typing the first letters of a name, or by scanning. On a phone the camera reads the code; on a counter you can plug in any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner, which simply types the digits the same way a keyboard would.
Generate a barcode when a product has none
Loose goods, home-made items and produce rarely arrive with a printed EAN. CEMAC POS can mint a valid barcode for any product and render it on screen or on a label, so you can price and scan things that never came with one. Products that do have a manufacturer code keep it, so a scanned tin of milk matches the supplier catalogue.
Alerts before you run out
- Set a low-stock threshold per product; the item is flagged the moment it drops below it.
- See at a glance which lines are out of stock so they never get sold by mistake.
- Review movement history to tell fast sellers from dead stock.
Stock is counted per outlet, not globally. A shop with two branches sees each branch's shelf separately, which is what you want when you decide where to send the next delivery.
Because the app is offline-first, all of this keeps working when the internet drops. Sales still deduct stock on the device, and the counts reconcile with the server the moment the connection returns.
