Terms of service

Last updated: 5 August 2026

By creating an account or using CEMAC POS, you accept the terms below.

The service

CEMAC POS is subscription point-of-sale software, reachable from a browser, a mobile app and a desktop app.

The service is provided "as is". We work to keep it available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, particularly during network outages, hosting failures or events beyond our control.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity carried out from your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.

You are responsible for the accounts you create for your staff and for how they are used.

Subscription and payment

Access requires an active subscription. A free trial is offered when the account is created.

On expiry or non-payment, access is suspended. Your data is retained for a reasonable period so you can settle or export it.

Amounts are stated in CFA francs (XAF).

Your data and your obligations

You remain the owner of the data you enter.

You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data you record, in particular your customers' personal data, and for meeting your own tax and accounting obligations.

CEMAC POS produces entries and documents to support your bookkeeping. They do not replace professional accounting advice, and responsibility for your filings remains yours.

Prohibited use

Attempting to access another shop's data, circumventing service limits, or disrupting the service.

Using the service for unlawful purposes or to conceal transactions that must be declared.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Opesware SARL's liability is limited to the subscription amounts you paid in the preceding twelve months.

We are not liable for indirect losses, including loss of business.

Termination

You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time.

We may suspend an account for serious breach of these terms, after notifying you except in urgent cases.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Cameroonian law, and disputes fall to the competent courts of Cameroon.
